The Jews have been waiting for Messiah, the Son of God, to come and establish the Kingdom of God on the Earth.  If He is just a "leader", then this belief is of no consequence.  If the kingdom is just "all-powerful", then this belief is oppressive and unfortunate.  However, if this Messiah truly is the Son of God, and He truly establishes God's Kingdom on the Earth, we would do well to heed His counsel.
