What would happen if there were no decomposers in a food web?

what would happen is that when an animal died it would nod decompose and there for be there forever..it would just lie on the ground and if that happens then themore animals that die will not decompose and it will get out of hand and it is hard to say really what else would happen

when decomposers decompose things into the soil, it releases its nutrients there which in turn fertilizes the soil
without this, nutrients would never return to the soil because there would be a lack of nutrients which would cause plant species to begin to die out
then the primary consumers would not be able to receive enough food and would be forced to leave or die thus causing the secondary to tertiary consumers to be left without food
