Fertilization takes place when A)the egg is split in two. B)sperm is formed. C)chromosomes are formed. D)the sperm enters the egg.

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Well read this "If no sperm is around to fertilize the egg, it moves through the uterus and disintegrates. Your hormone levels go back to normal. Your body sheds the thick lining of the uterus, and your period starts. If one sperm does make its way into the fallopian tube and burrows into the egg, it fertilizes the egg." So what they're saying is that when the sperm enters the egg, fertilization happens. By the way, since this is close to the subject of biology, you should probably post questions like these in that section, rather than the English section. Have a nice day, sport.

kinda confused is it a or d?

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

I believe that the sperm enters the egg. The egg spitting into two would be a completely different process.
