I know many people have already suggested giving more than one person a medal in the same post, but my idea has sort of a twist to it.

Many times when you ask a question, there are like more than 1 person helping you. The bad thing about it is that you can only give a medal to one person. How about giving medals up to three people. The best answer can get the gold medal, the second can get the silver, and the third can get the bronze. Every 5 bronze medals become 1 silver medal, and every 5 silver medals become 1 gold medal, and with the gold medals, you can unlock titles.

Yea, though I can see many people abusing this and giving their friends multiple medals at the same time when answering a question with just "Yeah this and this person is right"

Look all of these suggestions for working on medals and all are basically useless people with still spam with them and it wont help anything also the purpose of this site is NOT to see who gets the most medals but to make sure everyone gets the help they need i am more neutral i dont think this is bad or good im just saying medals mean 0 in life its the work that counts

Answering questions should not be about gaining more medals. It's about seeing the user grow in knowledge, and for you to get that awesome feeling from helping and inspiring while the person you help benefits in their studies and succeeds because of you. The "Best Response" is indeed only for the \(best\) \(response\). You have to choose, but if you can't, then don't give any medals at all. That is what I do. Therefore they are treated equal in my terms. No one gets medal spammed, and all are equal.

I agree with Pooja too. Medals aren't detrimental to have, and shouldn't just be passed out multiple times seemingly needlessly.
