Explain how you can find the number of centimeters in 6 dm. (this is my 8 year old sisters homework)

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

one "dm" or DECImeter, is 1/10 of a meter so there are 10 dm in 1 meter one "cm" or CENTImeter is 1/100 of a meter so there are 100 cm in 1 meter so there are 10 cm in 1 dm so in 6dm, it'd be then 6*10 cm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay let me see, this is science right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

um I got this which is 6dm x 10 = 60 centimeter which the answer is d so in 6dm, it'd be then 6*10 cm
