What is (2+y)³ written out?

OpenStudy (roberts.spurs19):

Ok so first write it out as (2+y)(2+y)(2+y) Then i find it easier to multiply the first two brackets out first to give 4+4y+y^2

OpenStudy (roberts.spurs19):

Then you just have to deal with the last bracket, so now you do the folllowing (y^2+4y+4)(2+y)

OpenStudy (roberts.spurs19):

Are you able to go from here? Or would you like me to explain the next bit?
