What's the question?

OpenStudy (moneybaby980):

James left a bin outside in his garden to collect rainwater. He notices that 1 over 4 gallon of water fills 2 over 3 of the bin. Write and solve an equation to find the amount of water that will fill the entire bin. Show your work. Explain your answer in words.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, so what you have to do is find how much would fill (1/3) of the tank So you take (1/4) and divide it by 2, which will give you (1/8) We know that there are 3 parts to the whole so we need to multiply (1/8) by 3 which gives us (3/8).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The equation would be ((1/4)/2)*3

thnx
