Mailing Letters

So currently writing a letter to my friend who is deployed over seas,
unfortunately he has no internet access, no Skype, nothing. The only way to
communicate with him is to write a letter. I haven't wrote a letter in somewhat
4 years and totally forgot how to. Can someone check over this letter for me to
see if formatting and everything is correct?
(I took out his name and address (as well as my address) for safety)

you a wonderful birthday. I really wish you were home so we can hang out and

stuff. Nothing much going on around here, hope you can soon get my

"package". Let me know when your coming home so we can chat and stuff. I'm

only 2 hours from my home base to your home base, hope you have a nice and

wonderful months. Pick me up some foreign food while your over there! Kyle

says hi as well as SGT Corona says hi! As said, hope you have a amazing

birthday and stay safe over there. Hooah. (get some pictures of some

helicopters for me) hahaha.

Well for starters, I know what I'm about to say ain't a part of the formatting, but you did use the incorrect homophone "you're" in a few places. More so, since you're sending something to a place as secure as the U.S Army they may or may not label you as a terrorist because you said "package" with quotes like that. Of course, I may be over exaggerating my last point.
