check my answer? explain why triangle ABC is congruent to triangle DBE. then find BC.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

BC=42

@sdfgsdfgs

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

triangle ABC is congruent to triangle DBE - they should be similar but not congruent...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry i think i typed it out wrong. do my answers look correct?

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

42 is the right ans :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay and then i need to list the similar sides?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

DE ~ AC BD ~ DA BE ~ EC angle A and angle D are congruent angle E and angle C are congruent @sdfgsdfgs

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

Angle E = Angle C (given) Angle B = Angle B (same angle) Angle D = Angle A (because the other two angles in the triangles are the same) so ABC ~ DBE

OpenStudy (anonymous):

DE ~ AC BD ~ DA BE ~ EC angle A and angle D are congruent angle E and angle C are congruent @sdfgsdfgs
