Will Fan & medal! How do i set this up? The vote count for candidate A was 7,310. The vote count for candidate B was 14,190. Only Two candidates were running. What percent of the voters voted for Candidate A?

OpenStudy (roberts.spurs19):

Ok, percentage is basically the proportion of the total amout. Therefore for this question you need to add together the total votes (which gives 21500) Then you need to work out what proportion of these votes went to Candidate A, this is done by calculating 7310/21500 = 0.34

OpenStudy (roberts.spurs19):

Multiply 0.34 by 100 to give the percentage 34%

OpenStudy (roberts.spurs19):

Hope this helps!
