if it is arithmetic you ADD a constant value to move from 1 number to the next if it is geometric then you MULTIPLY by a constant value to move from 1 number to the next so look at the numbers you are given - do they increase by a constant addition, or by a constant multiplier once you have worked that out, simply apply the same offset to the last number to work out the next in the sequence
