What was the outcome of the Six-Day War of 1967? Israel added territory, including the Gaza Strip the Palestinians gained control of the Suez Canal Israel lost territory, including the Gaza Strip the Egyptians gained control of the Suez Canal
The Six-Day War was a huge victory for Israel which was all the more astonishing considering that it defended itself from three major belligerents at the same time. As a result, the Palestinians gained control of nothing nor did Israel lose territory. The Egyptians already owned the Suez Canal -- they nationalized it years before as a state run company. So the only answer that makes sense is that Israel added territory -- a lot of it -- to their borders. Not only did they gain control of the Gaza strip, but they controlled the Sinai Peninsula, West Bank, and the Golan Heights as well.
