jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

how long is QR?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2,1

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

start at Q count how many spaces it takes to get to R

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

how many spaces did you count out?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1,1 ?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

how are you getting 1,1 ?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

see attached

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

do you see how I got the length of QR ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im sorry jim I was looking at the wrong triangle @jim_thompson5910

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jim_thompson5910

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

that's ok

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

hopefully you see how I'm getting that QR is 3 units long?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes you counted the spaces apart from each other and the answer is 1/3

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

and you should also see that Q'R' is 1 unit long so (Q'R')/(QR) = 1/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes! I can see what has took place and what I couldn't understand. I have 4 more questions. I am 7th grader taking 8 grade math. and I need this finish before june 5. :(
