OpenStudy (tkhunny):

The REAL name, the WHOLE thing, is "The Distributive Property of Multiplication over Addition". Do you see any choices that have both Multiplication and Addition?

OpenStudy (clobber02):

@Ashsmashum1290

OpenStudy (ashsmashum1290):

any ideas?

OpenStudy (clobber02):

b or c?

OpenStudy (ashsmashum1290):

hopefully someone will help you that i tagged

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

@tkhunny practically gave you the answer. Which of the answer choices has addition and multiplication?

OpenStudy (clobber02):

b?

OpenStudy (clobber02):

and a

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

A has only Addition B has only Multiplication We want one that has Addition AND Multiplication

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A and D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B and D sorry

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

um im pretty sure he can only pick one answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its all multiplication

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

@CLOBBER02 what do you think the answer is?

OpenStudy (clobber02):

b

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Do you see any addition in B?

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

^

OpenStudy (clobber02):

ALL OF IT IS

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it one of these B and D

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

We need one that has Addition and Multiplication. Example:\[3 + 5 * 10\]

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Please tell me what symbol constitutes addition.

OpenStudy (clobber02):

isnt it B

OpenStudy (clobber02):

+

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it D then right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cuz if you are asking for addition

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Do you see even one of those "+" thingies in B?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no so then that beans its D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

means it D*

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

@blackdragon316 let @CLOBBER02 respond (its his question not urs)

OpenStudy (clobber02):

ooohhhh sorry i have posted the wrong question

OpenStudy (clobber02):

OpenStudy (clobber02):

i think this is b

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

IMMEDIATELY discard A and B. You tell me why.

OpenStudy (clobber02):

idk

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Very well. Then you cannot solve this problem. You do recognize the addition symbol. Do you also recognize the multiplication symbol? Unless you find BOTH, it cannot be an example of the Distributive Property of Multiplication over Addition.
