How much of the federal government's income comes from individual income tax? A 17% B 27% C 47% D 77%

I'd go with (C) 47% as the best figure. Nearly half of the government's operating cash comes from individual income tax. You can check this link for verification (although the actual figure differs by a percentage or two, it's still a little under 50% in any case): Center on Budget and Policy Priorities: http://www.cbpp.org/research/policy-basics-where-do-federal-tax-revenues-come-from Tax Policy Center (using figures from 2010, so they'll be a few percentage points off from your 47%) http://www.taxpolicycenter.org/briefing-book/background/numbers/revenue.cfm

What do you think? I would go with 47%
