Here's a tip to make it look easier. When you have a fraction to type, click the equation tab right below this comment bar and go to the last tab and you will see the equation set up for a fraction. Just replace the "?"s with your expression. Here's an example

*hint* on the top, there is at least one 'x' and 'y' variable in each term...and also we see that everything up there is dividable by 4...so if we factor out a 4xy from the top...we can simplify greatly...
