Well first thing is we know that in the beginning it was 7 feet, there was no changing that initial height...so we know we are going to have a constant of 7 somewhere in our equation

Next, we need to know that each month, the tree grew by 'x' inches....

well there were 14 months...so it would make sense that the 'x' would be multiplied by the 14

So we have

14x + 7 = total height which was the 50.4
