a good thing to do would be creating an equation for the sum of all angles which would be y+2x=360 because 2 angles are identical in the triangle you are looking for

and because there are 8 angles identical to angle one and they have to add up to 360 you get 8x=360 which comes out to be x=360/8

so 360/8+2x=360
