Think about it for a bit. The 200 newtons of weight means the mass of the object multiplied by the acceleration due to gravity of Earth. If it is being pushed down on the water what would happen if the forces are equal?

If the Earth did not push back own your feet with equal force as you walked along it, what would happen to you? Hint, in quicksand the force pushing on you would not be equal.
