Okay what I would suggest is if it's a diagram then use by copying all the arcs and lines that were drawn in. If it is a slide show then go through it slowly and copy it exactly.
P.S. Who is your teacher?

Yeah ignitia isn't the best site in my opinion but thankfully I already passed. I would call I friend that's what I always do if i'm really confused and I have no idea what to do. Plus constructions are kind of hard to explain.

Grab your compass and open it up until it is as wide as the length of segment 'a' (up at the top)

then transfer the compass to the line where the nonpencil end is at the point marked
