here is my explanation, based on an example: 1) for battery the correct sign goes from negative pole to positive pole, namely: |dw:1430542342495:dw| so the corresponding equation, is: \[\Large {R_1}{I_1} + {R_3}{I_3} - {R_2}{I_2} = {V_1} - {V_2}\] Please, note that positive sense is fixed a priori
