A sandbag was thrown downward from a building. The function f(t) = -16t^2 - 32t + 384 shows the height f(t), in feet, of the sandbag after t seconds: Part A: Factor the function f(t) and use the factors to interpret the meaning of the x-intercept of the function.

1 know the x-intercepts are 4 and -6 but 1'm unsure what to do from there.

@shifuyanli.

OpenStudy (welshfella):

the x-intercepts 4 and -6 are the time in seconds when the height of the bag is zero (when it reaches the ground) the -6 can of course be ignored

okay

@welshfella

OpenStudy (khalilforthewin):

did you get the answer

OpenStudy (welshfella):

when the height f(t) = 0, t = 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@khalilforthewin no, why?

OpenStudy (khalilforthewin):

because i can help you
