a question about the sun.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how much longer does the sun have till it burns out and dies? am very concerned.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The Sun is a perfectly normal example of a star, formed from the solar nebula 4.6 billion years ago.Yes, the sun will eventually burn out. But not for a long, long time. The sun has used up about half of its hydrogen fuel in the last 4.6 billion years, since its birth. It still has enough hydrogen to last about another 5 billion years. The temperature of the sun’s surface is about 10,340 degrees Fahrenheit (5,726 degrees Celsius).

and even then when it does burn it will restart again and turn into a new sun, or thats what i heard at a science thing when i went there as a field trip in 5th grade

oh ok thanks :)
