Need help with limits please.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, what are they?

OpenStudy (lisa123):

its lim x->0 (9+x)/x^3

OpenStudy (lisa123):

x-> is underneath the limit as it approaches zero

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\lim_{x \rightarrow 0} \frac{ 9+x }{ x^3 }\]

OpenStudy (lisa123):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Have you tried anything? It's an asympototic shape, what happens if you take left and right limits?

OpenStudy (lisa123):

I don't know what that is. And yes I tried direct substitution and that didn't work
