Help with application of vectors

OpenStudy (darkbluechocobo):

Find the magnitude of the resultant force of two forces with magnitudes of 45 pounds and 75 pounds at angles of 45° and 100°, respectively. Round answers to the nearest hundredth of a pound or degree.

@freckles

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

Hold on a sec. Gotta check my Pre-Calc book to make sure...

OpenStudy (darkbluechocobo):

Alright, I am confused where to start S;

OpenStudy (phi):

write both vectors in rectangular form: mag * < cos(angle), sin(angle) > add components find the magnitude of the resultant

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

Okay, so basically you have something like this: |dw:1430608049221:dw| First find the vectors of each.

OpenStudy (darkbluechocobo):

I am confused with what phi said. I haven't gone over rectangular form

OpenStudy (studygurl14):

To help find the vectors... That's teh first one: |dw:1430608168247:dw| Second one: |dw:1430608300426:dw|
