What is the median of the data? 18, 17, 11, 18, 14, 14, 15, 18, 13, 12, 20, 17 A. 15 B. 16 C. 17 D. 18

OpenStudy (sepeario):

are you aware of the meaning of median?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

NOT REALLY

OpenStudy (sepeario):

the median is equivalent to the middle number of the set (when they are in order of course)

OpenStudy (sepeario):

firstly you have to put them in order hence; 11,12,13,14,14,15,17,17,18,18,18,20

OpenStudy (sepeario):

and which is the middle from that set?

OpenStudy (sepeario):

when there are an even amount of numbers in a set, we have two middle numbers; 15 and 17

OpenStudy (sepeario):

so we divided the sum of these by 2 and get 16.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THANK U SO MUCH

OpenStudy (sepeario):

no worries
