Find the volume of a cylinder with surface area 210(pi) m^2, and height 8 m.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know that the volume is 392pi, and the radius is 7. I figured that out using the answer in the book, i just cant work it out right, please help

OpenStudy (mrnood):

area of a cylinder is 'area of ends + area of sides A= 2 pi r (r+h) you know A and you know h so oyu can work out r then the volume is simply pi r^2 h

I know the formulas i need to be using, but ive been working on it for a half an hour and I cant seem to work out r, I keep getting crazy numbers no matter which way i do it
