Need help with graph please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

ok so let's graph say g(x) = -1 first|dw:1430693861925:dw| graph away above let's see what it looks like

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1430693147183:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that it

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

yeap, you're correct it has a "hole" at 0 \(\large g(x)= \begin{cases} -1&x\ne 0\\ 0&x=0 \end{cases}\) simply means y = -1 when not 0, but when 0, is not = -1, so it has a "hole" there that makes it discontinuous

Oh That's all we do for the answer?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

yeap, that's the graph of g(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thanks:)
