Help Please! I have no idea what I am doing.

Create a system of equations that includes one linear equation and one quadratic equation. Part 1. Show all work to solving your system of equations algebraically. Part 2. Graph your system of equations, and show the solution graphically to verify your solution.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay. y=x+2 (actually 1x, not 2x) would be just a line. It is same as y=x but shifted 2 units up and easy to work with. And f(x)=x²+4x+6

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

just choose two random equations that satisfy the requirements

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(x) = x²+4x+6 → f(x) = x²+4x+4+2 → f(x) = (x+2)²+2

OpenStudy (dan815):

y=x y=x^2

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

you could just do the linear parent function and the quadratic parent function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know what any of that means. I am blonde so can somebody please explain this to me.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cool but can somebody please explain this to me. I don't want answers I want to figure it out but I need someone to walk me through it.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

"Create a system of equations that includes one linear equation and one quadratic equation." Do you know what a linear equation is? Quadratic equation?

OpenStudy (surana):

Okay, system of equations. So something like y=mx+b, and then it needs to be solved, right?

OpenStudy (surana):

Okay.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Let's let lolibear answer, since she is the one that needs to learn it.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Looks like she logged off... probably due to all the spam and the creeper. /sigh

OpenStudy (surana):

Guess we'll just have to wait then.
