Which group of points lies on the line y = 4x - 3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(1, 1); (2, –1); (–1, –7) (1, 1); (2, 5); (-1, –1) (1, 1); (2, 5); (–1, –7) (1, 1); (2, –1); (–1, –1)

you could try by plugin in the x's in each group and see if you get the same y's

OpenStudy (anonymous):

huh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

each group consist of a (x,y). So you have x's in each one. Try plugin them in on the equation to get the y's

Example: I have the equation y=2x-1 and (3,y). The 3 is an x so I can just plug it in into the equation y=2x-1 and find y. Since you already have all of them, you just have to verify which group is correct.
