OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

Do you know what median is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry I'm not good at math

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:/ Ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wish I could help though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its fine

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

Okay, so what have you done with this problem so far, have you worked on it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am confused with it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont get what to do in this problem

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

ok you are finding the problem where finding the median is the best.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

Compared to the mean

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

Just looking at it, you might be able to eliminate a choice or two

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do you eliminate the answers, like how do you know which is wrong?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think C is wrong it looks wrong to me

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

yup

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

For the right answer, you want to find one that has an outlier, that would throw off the average/mean.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is an outlier?

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

a piece if data completely not like the rest like 4,6,5,3,2,61 61 is completely different and would mess up the average

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And D?

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

yup, your answer is D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yay so so far C and D right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean just D

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

yup :)

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

just D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just D.... Oh ok! Thx! can you help me in a couple more its like 3 more
