Find the solution of differential equation: dy/dx=8/(7-x)...so my professor solved the equation and got -8Lnabs(7-x)+c using u subsitution where u=7-x and du=-dx or dx=-du. I don't understand why dx= NEGATIVEdu....could someone please explain this to me?! thank you!

OpenStudy (turingtest):

if you take the differential of u=7-x you get\[du=d(7-x)=d(7)-dx=0-dx=-dx\]

Perfect, thank you so much!

welcome!
