Medal!!! HELP PLEASE

OpenStudy (majesty69):

Given an exponential function for compounding interest, A(x) = P(.77)x, what is the rate of change?

OpenStudy (majesty69):

−0.13% −13% 0.23% −23%

Amistre help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okies would u mind medal me ? o and u dont have to fan me if u dont want to

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thnx alot :)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

change the base part into (1+r) and solve for r

OpenStudy (majesty69):

So (1+r)(0.77)x?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

no like this: P(1+r)^x = P(.77)^x this is only true if: 1+r = .77 , r gives us the rate of change.

OpenStudy (majesty69):

is it -23%?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

r = .77 - 1, so yes r = - .23, or -23%

OpenStudy (majesty69):

Thank you

OpenStudy (amistre64):

youre welcome
