HELP ASAP!!!! FAN+MEDAL!!!! (In the Victorian England Era for the Upper, Middle, Working, Under) What kinds of fabrics would their clothes be made out of? Any special features found on the clothing? What would men AND women wear?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you need it for each class? or just one specifically?

Alright, well: Upper Class: Normally wear silks or fine muslin. special features would include either small luxuries (like pearls) or lace. Often times there would be exotic trim on the sleeves, hem, and bodice for women. Men (or Gentlemen), would wear top hats (of either silk or very fine cloth) and also suits of silk (or if you were a wealthy officer, officers uniforms). Middle Class: Muslin or printed cotton. Special features would be limited for expense, but would usually include trim, and fine prints for women. Men would wear cloth suits and top hats (If they were a gentlemen), with the occasional farmer. Working Class: Cotton normally. There were very little special features due to their expense (for both men and women). Men would wear cotton shirts, work boots, vests, and pants, that were often worn from use. Lower Class: Extremely poor and often wore cotton rags, with worn leather boots. No special features were included here except if the clothing was stolen or given to them. Both men and women began to wear top hats, over coats, and even some women went to the extreme of wearing trousers. Does this help some? lol :P
