Can anyone help me with 7th grade math, simulations?

@perl

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@amistre64

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whats the question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the question is : Based on the circle graph, how many more students voted for raja than for dayton if 300 students voted? The circle graph is 31% trevor 25% dayton 44%Raja

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just multiply the number of people by the percentage of votes to find out how many people voted for each person

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would do this, 300 times .44 and subtract from 300 then same thing with dayton

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and I got 93.. but its wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I did the same thing and got 57

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you did raja - dayton

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, raja was 132 and dayton was 75

OpenStudy (anonymous):

subtracted dayton from raja

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok I have another Question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Suppose 11 out of 17 students said they were attending the football game. How many students out of 475 would you expect to attend the football game.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so I did

OpenStudy (anonymous):

11/17 times x/475

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why did you add an x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because we dont know how many students will attend the game throughout the whole school

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sure, do 475 times 11/17

OpenStudy (anonymous):

11x/8075

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so now we divide

OpenStudy (anonymous):

734.09090909090 and so on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wrong answer...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

734 is wrong or 307

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 307...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that wrong?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It should be right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok cause I got the percent and times it by 475

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got a new question now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Easier

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mr.Dotson wants to know if the neighbors on his street would be interested in a community watch. He surveys every fourth household on the street and concluded that 70% would be interested. Determine if its valid (Unbiased) or unvalid (Biased)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Justify your answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not sure about this one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@amistre64

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i wouldnt know for certiain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its unbiased but why

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know man

OpenStudy (anonymous):
