The kinds of things that *are* allowed in this group:
- Discussions and questions on musical theory.
- Discussions and questions on instruments, instrumentation, composition, songwriting, etc.
- Posting your own original work for feedback and criticism (as usual, please be respectful).

Do NOT:
- Post YouTube videos for other artists.
- Post poems, they belong in the literature or writing section.
- Post SoundCloud links for other artists.
- Post questions about what people's favorite genres are.
- Post an Artist's name and a song by them, (e.g. a question that contains just -something like "One Direction Kiss You")
- Post song lyrics that are not yours
- Poll questions (e.g. "Do you like this song?" "What do you think about this band?" etc.)
- Questions like "What songs should I download?" "What's good music for a birthday party?"
- Information about personal accounts is also apparently not allowed
- Post rap battle threads
- This is already covered in the CoC, but do NOT post anything with inappropriate subject material (use your best judgement)

That's \(if\) you put the right words. Problem is, no one does that. They use verbal terms that are not friendly for all ages. Posting your \(clean\) rap work is okay. Rap battles are on a whole other level. They aren't clean.

I disagree. many people do it because its fun. not a waste of time, because some people have problems and sometimes rap battles gives them a bit of extra money or something.
i say its wrong to just put your opinion out there like that, because that's a OPINION. and not all rap battles are dirty, i competed in a religion one to figure out who knew more abut the lord. It was contemporary Gospel, so see not all raping is made dirty and bad.

I've heard a few successful raps that didn't have any swear words. Saying that profanity is required for a rap to be booming is foolish. Profanity isn't necessary.

I disagree. It's really pathetic to think that you have to add curse words to a rap just for it to be successful. Rap doesn't have to be like that.
