Would a population being more male of female based on genetics be something you would observe over time generally, if the species doesn't have any odd reproduction patterns tha limits a certain sex?

As for having a recessive trait, it will likely be carried if the other partner has it, but for it to show the offspring will have to be homo-recessive and or the dominant trait isn't completely overpowering it
