For the function f(x) = x + 5, what is the ordered pair for the point on the graph when x = 4w?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

are you sure it says x=4w, and not just x=4 ?

For the function f(x) = x + 5, what is the ordered pair for the point on the graph when x = 4w?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's what it says

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

ok, then plug in \(4w\) instead of \(x\) into the \(\rm function\) and tell me what the \(f(x)\) is going to equal. This new value of \(f(x)\) is your \(y-{\rm coordinate}\). (And \(4w\) is just your \(x-{\rm coordinate}\) )
