OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes that's what I meant... I just read some stuff about it and accdg to mr. G, it is about the battle of puebla. Interesting ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry i wasnt answering i had to do something. Well Cinco De Mayo is a holiday (for Mexico and America) about Mexico defeating the French and at that time the French had the strongest Army and Mexico had the Worst so they were the Underdogs. I have no clue WHY America celebrates it but what ever.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahh thanks :)

iYuko (iyuko):

We missed Star wars day. :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ha

iYuko (iyuko):

May the 4th be with you. ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Americans think Cinco De Mayo is all about Burritos and a few Margaritas which is messed up and stereotypical. It is more of an American Holiday and a day of history in Mexico

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We make tons of real mexican food. Tonight we are having Burritos, Tacos (real mexican way), enchiladas, mexican rice, black beans, and nachos.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

America celebrates Cinco de mayo because if Mexico hadn't won the war with France the Civil War would have ended differently with the south winning, meaning we could still have salves in America. So Americans celebrate it to remember the right outcome of the civil war :) @Data_LG2 @pjpineda17
