A school bus has 25 seats, with 5 rows of 5 seats. 15 students from the first grade and 5 students from the second grade travel in the bus. How many ways can the students be seated if all of the second-grade students occupy the first row?

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

what are your answer choices?

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

i think i know how to do this one but i want to verify my answer

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

i would simply multiply 25 by 15

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

because we dont need to worry about the first row

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

my bad 20 x 15

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

because 5 seats are taken xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5! multiply 15!

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

is 300 an answer choice?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

25P20 5P5*20P15 5C5*25C14 5P5*15P15 5P5*25PC15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

those are my choices

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

what is the "c"?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5P5 * 15P15 is there answer

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

i dont really now what it is asking for, so follow kentari on this one

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

kentari what does the p stand for?

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

i am lost xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

On the first row. There are 5 choices out of 5 seats. So it would be 5P5. On the rest. There are 15 choices out of 15 seats. So it would be 15P15. So 5P5 * 15P15 would get your answer

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

i will just leave it to you <3

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

ohh kentari you genius xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):
