The graph shows the distance Maria traveled from home in miles (y) as a function of time in seconds (x). The graph is divided into four segments labeled P, Q, R, and S, respectively. Graph shows 4 segments. Segment P is a slanting straight line going up. Segment Q is a horizontal straight line parallel to the x-axis. Segment R is a slanting line going up. Segment S is a slanting straight line going down that touches the x-axis. Which segment shows Maria waiting for a cab? P Q R S http://learn.flvs.net/webdav/assessment_images/educator_mjprealgebra_v16/mjprealgebra_test1_m4_g15

slope of distance time graph will give u the velocity,, if u will differentiate distance with respect to time. u will get dx/dt = velocity (also known as slope of the graph) so the segment which is parallel to x axis will give u the ans because slope of x axis is 0 and two parallel lines have same slope. slope is 0 means velocity is 0 hence she is waiting

The graph represents function 1 and the equation represents function 2: A graph with numbers 0 to 4 on the x-axis and y-axis at increments of 1. A horizontal straight line is drawn joining the ordered pairs 0, 3 and 4, 3. Function 2 y = 2x + 1 How much more is the rate of change of function 2 than the rate of change of function 1? 1 2 3 4
