Is It better to be funny or to be serious?
in what situations? :)
You want to be serious in a funny way
Or funny, but still in a serious way. Either or
Like Around the house. Because I have a Mom and Grandma and 3 younger brothers and none of them smile. My mom gets mad at me when ever I dont act Serious
Be funny yet serious.
Yes Sammi!!! Thats how I am sometimes... be funny in a serious way
Funny in a serious way
how do I do that?
jokes shouldn't be cracked in inappropriate situations like talking about graves in your grandmother's presence >.> but being too uptight can be emotionally strenuous and distancing at times whether to be funny or serious depends on the mood, and how you want people around you to feel. I suggest you can be open with your family, but without dirty talk or pranks. but you don't have to be completely fakely polite either (since you are at home) perhaps your mother wants you to practice being less "funny"' and be more polite in situations in an attempt to prepare you for the "outside world" yah know, when you do something that's not really considered polite and make it a habit - parents get worried about your future and how people would think of you when you get older and leave the house that's how my parents are xD
thanks
Both at the same time at once!!!!
neither, it's best to be seriously funny!!!
HAA HAA haa.. heh... hmm...
It also sort of depends on your age
How old are you?
everyone has their own balance of the two moods ^_^ I'm usually more funny than serious :P meanwhile, tkhunny is all serious and no fun :3 some people view seriousness as being strong :/ and funny as being immature and more people are willing to follow the lead of someone strong and serious while discounting the funny persons. I used to have a frowny face all the time, but I realized I would personally rather be happy with who I am and spend my short life span being happy rather than "strong and serious" .-. sooo now I'm all sparkles and sunshine xD
yes...Yes. YEESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but who is tkhunny?
It is best to be amoral and fluid. Be water my friend.
Last week my niece flew off a bicycle and i rode away and laughed my butt off, sooo funny
soooo, funny*
im 14
ooooookaayy, im 13
i'm 12
im 11
wow, really?
hmm
STHHHPAM
WHAT O.O @Compassionate is 11?!
So at 14, you can be a little more funny than serious
How are you ambi?
Yeah don't you have to be 13?
I'm an adult and I am silly. Age does not dictate humor.
lol true, though you're expected to be less funny and more serious as you get older (well, to a point)
You said you were 11. Being 11 is being a kid. Therefore how are you an ambi when you have to be 13+?
My brother is 25 and he still plays hide and seek with toddlers
all dey
@sleepyhead314 with what you were saying about tk, you're right he's serious and no fun. So a little too serious. You really do need a mixture of serious and funny and knowing when is right for each
Compassionate didn't you say you were going to be leaving?
@horsegirl27 , it is not a moderators job to be fun. That is our Job
our? and yeah, not fun but like, some are more fun then others, like batman makes jokes, blurbendy is super friendly, Preetha is just awesome, but then tk is just more strict and not fun (that I have seen of course)
Again, they are not the fun police.
I'm not completely sure, but maybe what comp means by "our" is ambassadors
but we're talking of mods Caleb not ambi's
But he said our, and he is an ambassador.
oh well I see what you're saying
So that is why i had said that.
It makes sense now?
If he meant it like that he would say "us" ambis not "our" ambis
yeah yet some mods are and well it's hard to explain what I mean
That is not always true
:p ik but he was talking about ambis tho...
If you carefully read what he said, you would understand.
"Our" is correct either way. "Us Ambies," and, "Our Ambies," are correct depending on how you view things. So, yeah, that's all semantics.
Thank you for clearing that up.
^
Again, again, I reiterate: Ambassadors are peacekeepers while Moderators deal with conduct.
Well said.
So Ambis are like fun uncles and mods are like strict parents? :'D
It's better to be yourself :)
LOL!!! pretty much @love-a-good-story
:'D
Don't be something you're not. Void~
Be yourself, everyone else is already taken
@TheSmartOne may be younger than me and an ambassador but he mah little bro ;)

Try to be funny while being humorous. It gets easy with practice. My way of doing this is by using puns (but some don't get my jokes sometimes).
