How are stage and film versions of a drama similar? The viewer must infer the mood from the lighting and sound effects. The viewer must envision the way the characters look and sound. The viewer must imagine the setting. The viewer must visualize the action.

Well, think about it. When you watch a movie or a play do you understand the mood by the brightness/dimness of the lighting or the sounds that are being played? Like if it is some scary flick and the scene is dark with flickering lights and the distant sounds of footsteps can be heard. It IS A creepy/scary mood right? You don't have to imagine or visualize because it is already right there in front of you, nor the way the characters look or sound!
