Can someone please help me? I have been struggling with this and I am trying to raise my math grade. Find the product. (7 - 10x)2 A. 49x2 - 140x + 100 B. 49 - 140x + 100x2 C. 49 + 100x2 D. 49 - 140x - 100x2

OpenStudy (megankeeping):

You can write (7-10x)^2 as (7-10x)(7-10x) You can start by multiplying the 7 in the first bracket by everything in the second bracket and then multiply the -10x in the first bracket by everything in the second bracket. This gives you 7X7=49 + 7X-10x=-70x + -10xX7=-70x + -10xX-10x=100x^2 49 + -70x + -70x + 100x^2 So the answer is 49 - 140x + 100x2 Hope this helps :)
