How did Gianlorenzo Bernini incorporate an Italian Baroque characteristic in his sculpture David? Bernini made a complete departure from Classical and Renaissance sculpture. Bernini made its main purpose to idealize the beauty of the human form. Bernini created the pose and facial features with a sense of calm and reservation. Bernini engaged the viewer by making the sculpture break into the viewer's space.
