What were two reasons that Spain wanted Mexico as a colony? people land religion resources

OpenStudy (justuu):

@jessie13

OpenStudy (spacemountain):

I would say resources

OpenStudy (spacemountain):

let me make sure

OpenStudy (spacemountain):

@justuu what were you thinking?

OpenStudy (spacemountain):

since Mexico and Peru began producing clothing and other goods for themselves, there was little demand for Spanish products and Spanish merchants couldn't finance the purchase of all that silver.

OpenStudy (spacemountain):

wait

OpenStudy (spacemountain):

I forgot the 2nd reason lol

OpenStudy (spacemountain):

1 sec

OpenStudy (spacemountain):

Err and land??

OpenStudy (spacemountain):

do you agree?

OpenStudy (spacemountain):

Spain’s purposes to colonize Mexico and the other colonies were getting new land, resources, and to spread Christianity. As they conquered Mexico, they got new land. Spain plundered lots of resources from their colonies, opened up trade and get profits and spread Christianity.

OpenStudy (justuu):

Yep , thank you a lot 😉
