The figure below shows a shaded circular region inside a larger circle: A shaded circle is shown inside another larger circle. The radius of the smaller circle is labeled as r and the radius of the larger circle is labeled as R. On the right side of the image is written r equal to 2 inches and below r equal to 2 inches is written R equal to 5 inches. What is the probability that a point chosen inside the larger circle is not in the shaded region? 84% 50% 42% 16%
The image below is a triangle drawn inside a circle with center O: A triangle is shown inscribed inside a circle. The leg of the triangle labeled 6 inches passes through the center of the circle, O. The other two legs are labeled as 4 inches and 3 inches. Which of the following expressions shows the area, in square inches, of the circle? (π = 3.14) 3 ⋅ 3.14 ⋅ 22 3.14 ⋅ 32 3.14 ⋅ 22 3.14 ⋅ 3
@AquaStone316 if u know please help me
I don't know, sorry.
its ok
@DatChinookGuy neither of them r D r u able to help plz i need it badly
@lovesvd10 sure (: one moment.
awesome thanks! @DatChinookGuy and if @just_one_last_goodbye & @Isaiah.Feynman if either of u can figure it out u would be a great help :D
@lovesvd10 dumb Open study is being mean to me, in my notebook if my math is correct your answers are 42% & 3.14 ⋅ 22
Based on the figure below, what is the value of x? A right angle is shown divided in two parts. The measure of the angle of one part is 30 degrees and the measure of the other part is 5x plus 15 degrees. 3<---WRONG ANSWER 9 12 15 @DatChinookGuy
@lovesvd10 9 I believe, I may have to log off in a sec here internet is to bad or at least OS is for me. :/
oh ok
3.14*2^2=12.56 3*3.14*3^2=28.26 3*3.14*2^2=37.68
@Data_LG2
1st question: Calculate the AREA of the big and small circle. Subtract the area of the smaller circle to the area of the bigger circle. The difference over the area of the bigger circle multiply by 100 will be the probability. 2nd question: Area of a circle is \(\sf \pi r^2\) where r is the radius. Since 6 is the diameter, divide it by 2 and plug it in the formula. 3rd question: Right angle means 90 degrees. Add those angles together and their should be 90. Solve for 'x' using the expression that you will form from right angle concept I just mentioned. That's all. goodluck! :) P.S. I'm not a fan of helping three questions at a time. It' pretty hard you know.
thanks! and ok sorry! :) :/ @Data_LG2
