Something wild happened to my OS page. Refreshing, clearing cache, all those didn't work. Then my laptop restarted itself (it never happened before, this laptop is new). What was troubling was that OS was my only tab open. It's not connected to why my laptop restarted right? Just a technical difficulty? http://prntscr.com/71y5i8

it is lag. a few minutes ago i tried opening openstudy, it took approx. 10 minutes!

I don't believe it is lag anymore. It must be the DDoS attacks that @Preetha mentioned.
