What started the interest in China? Marco Polo's trip Portuguese interest in sailing The Great Crusades The discovery of the New World
It would have been Marco Polo's trip, the Great Crusades were involving the middle east, the New World had nothing to do with China and the Portuguese had no interest in China until it became known.
Marco Polo's trip, he was fascinated about China, and helped the ruler of china in that time for a long while(also the ruler of china was Genghis Khan grandson(Genghis was the best ruler of the biggest empire....Britain dominated everyone else because they had cannons and good armour....while the mongols had less people than pretty much every army and they had same weapons(except china, they had fireworks.) that everyone had and still fracking ruled the whole asia and Europe(most of it, like japan left untouched cause of a cyclone)
