@fwmod To elaborate: Leatherback sea turtles are the largest extant turtle species, ~seven feet long and up to 2,000 lbs. Like many sea turtles they have a long life expectancy and it takes, we think, around 16 years. At this time the turtles mate and females return to the beaches they were born on to lay their eggs.
